In 2004 The Club celebrated it's 21st anniversary with special events and a luncheon attended by The President of the Croquet Association so as to commemorate The Club's foundation in 1983 at the Montefoire Sports Ground.

In 1987 the Club was offered four lawns on the Royal Esplanade in Ramsgate by Thanet District Council. Since then, with financial help from the Council, the lawns have been relayed and are now amongst the best in the country according to both UK and overseas visiting players.

Club members play both Golf Croquet and Association Croquet.
For both games the Club has nationally qualified coaches and tuition is FREE as is the use of all equipment. It is a game which can be played by all ages - our youngest member is nine and the eldest ninety! A handicap system ensures that players at all levels can compete against each other.

The Club fields teams for both Golf and Association League matches and entry to the Club Competitions is open to all members
The Club hold four Croquet Association Tournament weekends each year and a Golf Croquet Championship weekend early in June.
Why not visit Ramsgate this year? If you apply early you will be able to enjoy croquet on some of the finest lawns in the Country.

This all sounds fun - what do I need to start? Just a pair of flat- bottomed shoes. The Club can provide a mallet for you to use. No need to join the Club immediately - come along any Tuesday at 10 o'clock, after the start of the season in April and find out more about the game. For more details see our contact page.
